Weddings at Le Gothique, SW18
The spectacular Le Gothique in Wandsworth hosted a very special day on the 4th of April (Easter Sunday) when Hugh and Leanne got married. The building is very much the star attraction and I wanted to make sure it featured in the images as much as possible.. Hugh and Leanne chose wisely ..it made a spectacular setting for their day of celebration! The weather.. its always ‘the weather’ isn’t it here in the UK.. sang wildly between sun and hailstorms and back to sunshine again so we had almost everything except rain I guess.. phew.. close shave!
The courtyard was festooned with a marquee which actually proved very useful as right in the middle of the couple’s vows it pat with hail for about 5 minutes.. and everyone took shelter… hail weatherproof cameras!! (pardon the pun!)
Wedding Photography at Le Gothique works so well because there are many options for indoor and exterior shooting and with that in mind I used some wirless off camera flash in certain indoor locations to throw some theatrical light onto the couple..(image below for example). I retouched a few noticeable signs and a motorbike outside (Grrr!!) and all seems well with the edit. I’m sure neither Hugh not Leanne will remember there were ever any signs there at all!
My thanks to them and to the host and staff of Le Gothique for a delicious meal of quail and pate .. delicious. My co photographer Steve wasn’t too impressed by the thought of quail.. but I love the little blighters (roasted that is).
Images really worked this day.. I love it when all the hard work pays off. Now come on Hugh and Leanne.. buy a beautiful album to present your images in!! Its the very best way to maximise the beautiful memories you have.
